This emulator was designed specifically to run the Fire Red version on your smartphone.

As with all RPGs released for portable consoles, Fire Red and Leaf Green are in third person. The main screen is a virtual world, in which you play as the protagonist. It has a menu interface which the player can access, whether to configure their Monsters, organize their items, check the Pokedex, see their Trainer Card, save the game and change the options.

When the player encounters a wild Monster or is challenged by a trainer, the screen changes to a turn-based battle screen that shows the Monsters of both. The capture of Monsters is another essential element of the game. During a battle with a wild one, the player can throw a Pokeball at it. If it is captured successfully, it will be under the ownership of the player. There are several factors that influence the success rate of the capture, such as the HP of the target and the type of Pokeball used – the smaller the life of the target, and the stronger the type of Pokeball, the higher the chance of capturing the Monster!

Fire Red and Leaf Green are remakes of the first games and contain user-friendly improvements as a tutorial that allows players to search for info at any time of the game. In addition, by continuing a saved game, the last four actions are displayed, reminding players of their recent activity.

Come per tutti i giochi di ruolo rilasciati per console portatili, Fire Red e Leaf Green sono in terza persona. La schermata principale è un mondo virtuale, in cui giochi come protagonista. Ha un'interfaccia a menu a cui il giocatore può accedere, sia per configurare i propri Mostri, organizzare i loro oggetti, controllare il Pokedex, vedere la loro Carta Allenatore, salvare il gioco e cambiare le opzioni.

Quando il giocatore incontra un mostro selvaggio o viene sfidato da un allenatore, lo schermo cambia in uno schermo di battaglia a turni che mostra i mostri di entrambi. La cattura di Mostri è un altro elemento essenziale del gioco. Durante una battaglia con una selvaggia, il giocatore può lanciare una Pokeball. Se viene catturato con successo, sarà di proprietà del giocatore. Esistono diversi fattori che influenzano il tasso di successo della cattura, come i PS del bersaglio e il tipo di Pokeball utilizzato: minore è la vita del bersaglio e maggiore è il tipo di Pokeball, maggiore è la possibilità di catturare il Mostro!

Fire Red e Leaf Green sono remake dei primi giochi e contengono miglioramenti intuitivi come tutorial che consente ai giocatori di cercare informazioni in qualsiasi momento del gioco. Inoltre, continuando una partita salvata, vengono visualizzate le ultime quattro azioni, che ricordano ai giocatori la loro recente attività.
